President of Israel was accompanied by a delagation of 65 members including many large enterprises from every fields from agriculture to space technology, wishing to promote bilateral cooperations. According to President Peres, Israel will expand cooperation in agriculture, basing on requirements and priorities of Viet Nam. Specifically, Israel will help Vietnam build dairy farms with 30,000 cows from Israel with best milk yield and quality in the world.
Before meeting with the president, the school has spent time working with AICAT (Center for International Agricultural) and signed the Memorandum of Cooperation in the collaborative training of students between AICAT and TUAF. Mentioned in the MOU, AICAT will offer 50 internship opportunities in Israel in 2012 to the students in TUAF.
At the meeting, the Rector delivered a speech, as a representative for Vietnamese universities, and an alumni from Israel's 1998 MASHAV Program. In his speech, Dr. Tran Van Dien expressed his gratitude to the peoples and the nation of heroic Israel.
The knowledged obtained from MASHAV has helped him et al in their career. From 2006 to present, TUAF has sent more than 60 students to internship in Israel. When returning students are very confident about the expertise and advantages when applying for work in Vietnam. TS. Điền hope to have more staff and students sent for further training in Israel.
The meeting has left an impression on those attending with the image of a serious but friendly president. We hope the visit will further promote the friendship between Vietnam and Israel.
