Thainguyen University (TNU ) and Thainguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Aus4skills Vietnam, an Aus4Vietnam investment on 21st September 2017.
The MOU will lay the foundation for cooperation activities to improve quality of the universities and contribute to the sustainable development of Thai Nguyen and its neighbour provinces in the Mid-land and Northern mountainous region of Vietnam.
At the signing ceremony, Ms Stacey Nation, Counsellor of Political and Strategic Communications, Australian Embassy, emphasized that the pilot phase 2017-2018 will consist of:
Short courses for leaders and senior managers of universities on leadership, governance, and strategic, planning.
Short courses for university middle managers on introduction to management and leadership.
Short courses for Deans and senior managers on university assurance, and management of curriculum development and renewal.
Short courses for teachers on exclusive curriculum and methods for supporting the academic success of disadvantaged student.
Short courses for teachers on generic skills curriculum especially for students from ethnic groups
Study on graduates’ skills gap encountered by employers in the northern mountainous region.
After the signing ceremony, Ms Stacey Nation and Aus4Vietnam delegates visited the Life Science Institute and The Institute of forestry research and development (ifrad).
