Launched in 2013 by U.S. President Barack Obama, the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) consists of bright young leaders aged 18-35 years from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Burma, Philippines, Laos, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS) program is to support human resource development of the Japanese grant aid recipient countries. JDS program targets the highly capable young officials (mainly government) who are expected to engage in implementing social and economic development plans as a future leader.

On August 13, 2014, Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Ngoan – Vice Rector of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture & Forestry (TUAF) had a meeting with Prof. Gerhard Braus – Goettingen University, Germany.
The TUAF officials conducted a working visit to selected universities in the Philippines for a discussion on academic programs with Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU), Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST), and Cagayan State University (CSU) from July 27 to August 02, 2014.

On June 15, 2014 Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture & Forestry (TUAF) successfully held the commencement exercises. The Master's degrees were awarded to 293 Students – Batch 19(2011-2013).
On June 7, 2014, 03 researchers from the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) and Kasetsart University, Thailand (KU) had a meeting with Dr. Tran Van Dien – Rector of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture & Forestry (TUAF) and leaders of Science & International Affairs Office, International Training & Development Center, and Northern Mountainous Forestry Research Center.
