Introduction
Hi-tech Agriculture and Forestry R&D Center (HACEN) is a research center under Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry. The forerunner of the Center is the Collaborative Agriculture R&D Lab (CARD) which established in 2018.
Mission
HACEN aims to be a capable center in applied research, training, technology transfer and international cooperation in the field of high-tech agriculture and forestry to meet the needs of market and localities in the country and in the region.

1. Develop community-based transformative learning mechanisms for sustainable climate-resilient livelihood models towards self-sustaining rural communities in the North of Vietnam.
2. Conservation and market-oriented development of native medicinal plant Dioscorea persimilis Prain et Burk. (Cu Mai) in Lao Cai.
3. Effects of cultivation techniques on the growth, development, yield and quality of some yam varieties in Thai Nguyen.
4. Theoretical and practical basis for the development and application of high technology in the production, preservation and processing of some typical crops for the Northern mountainous provinces.
5. Model farm: apply science and technology in market-oriented farming and processing of medicinal herbs (Dioscorea persimilis Prain et Burk. and Rehmannia glutinosa) in Bac Kan.
6. Reducing environment pollution in poultry farming through the use of probiotic bedding in Thai Nguyen.
7. Pilot cultivation of Panax notoginseng in Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai province.
